I would like to know which is better for begiinners to learn English…American English and British English?

There’s not enough difference to worry about it, unless you have future plans which involve one country or the other.

I want to improve my English. Could someone please help me learn English. I am on ‘Function in English’ I want to finish this book. friends, please help me

UNIT 1

Exercise 1 = You are at an airport information desk. you want to ask about an arrival.
Example : Is flight BH 106 on time?
(a) Can you tell me … please ?
(b) D’you happen to know …?

In other situation : People and you are not sure who has the information

Exercise 2 you’ve been chatting to a friendly fellow-passenger on a plane

If you want to learn, then you need to work out the answers for yourself. You won’t understand very much if you just ask someone else for answers. What do you think are the correct responses?

In other situations : when you are addressing several people. and you are not sure who has the information.

(a) I wonder if someone could tell me…(Response= where the nearest bank is)

(b) I should be interested to know … (Response=where the nearest bank is)

Use of ‘all’ is unusual there and doesn’t sound right. This is natural:

It’s not about what you do, it’s about what you don’t.

It isn’t strictly grammatical, as it is missing a final ‘do’. In the form without adding ‘do’ to the end, it is a humorous play on words, It means ‘Your inaction has more of a long term effect than your action’.
