I don’t know how intelligent he is, Monica, but it seems that he is quite well-informed:
“selfie” made it into the Oxford Dictionaries in August 2013 and has been named as their international Word of the Year this November.
Research carried out by Oxford Dictionaries editors reveals that the frequency of the word “selfie” in the English language has increased by 17,000% since this time last year.
You’re very welcome. Now that you mention it, I suppose “Facing up to challenges/difficulties ahead” would have made a pretty good description for that picture too.
Mr. K,
I love the picture of the sparrow (owl???) along with your comment! Actually, I think comments are even more significant than the picture – the comment is what sort of does the trick for me. (Am I making any sense? )
Sure I do – “eek, eek, eek…” the owl says (or even better for me: “yuck, yuck, yuck…” – an exclamation of strong disgust). That tells me that it must’ve stepped in dog poop or something of the kind.
The bloke looks nutser today. Better stay away from him.
Crazy enough Cristina, crazy enough. This girl.
Howling time, Aaooo, aoo ,aoo, aoo, ao oo o, Hmm, too many staccatos , not a macho howl yet. Why I still just can’t howl like the old bloke, here go I again. Aaaoooooooooooo, that’s better…
