Simple Present Questions (Unit 8)

Hello Pareelie.

In those sentences, it is more natural to use ‘to be’ as the verb structure and not ‘to do’.

Am I starting my forum questions?
Are they singing this evening?
Is my daughter working well in school?
Is it letting me go?
Are we leaving the office?

Note that the pronoun ‘I’ is always written as a capital letter.

Hi!
Do you see me?
Does he is a young boy?
Do they leave her?
Does she usually go to work at eight o’clock in the morning?
Do you often listen to music at home?
Do we visit our parents every day?
Do I wake up early? - Yes, i do.
Does the water boil in 100 C?

If it possible, i would like to ask what is different between the sentences “I like you!” and “I love you!”?

Thank you!!!

Sorry!
Does he is a young boy? - mistake - Is he a young boy - correct I think)

‘Love’ is a much stronger emotion than ‘like’. Someone who says they love you is indicating that they have feelings far more intense than someone who says they like you.

Do you see me?
Does he is a young boy? ← As you say, you would use ‘Is he…’
Do they leave her? (or ‘Are they leaving her?’}
Does she usually go to work at eight o’clock in the morning?
Do you often listen to music at home?
Do we visit our parents every day?
Do I wake up early? - Yes, i do. ← Don’t forget the capital letter for the pronoun.
Does the water boil in 100 C? ← The correct preposition is ‘at’.

Well done.

    Angelu.

I´m afraid I can´t understand why sometimes you use “do or does” to ask a question and in other oportunities you can use " are or is". I´m sorry but would you explain to me this topic.
Thanks so much,
Angelu

Do you want to visit Columbia some day?
Do you know how long I need to learn English?
Is the personal forum on the gallery easy to open?
Does the Colombian President get information about the current lesson topics?
Are you sending me to the progress report?

Do they listen to my recordings?
Has Laura become an English teach with your team?
Will you meet me ont he forums?

We use do/does or is/are as question words when we want to ask yes/no questions.
We use does and is with third person singular pronouns (he, she, it) and with singular noun forms.
We use do and are with other personal pronouns (you, we they) and with plural noun forms.

Which we use depends on a number of elements, so more about this can be found here

Hi sunny
The is my questions.
Do you go to school?
Does he pass the ques?
Do they make the party?
Does she like the cake?

THANKS

SORRY I wrote some wrong word.
like: this ,quiz.

thank you

These are my questions:

Do you go to school? ← correct
Does she like the cake? ← correct.

The others would normally be asked using different verbs:
Has he passed the quiz?
have they made the party? / Are they making the party?

Does he really mean what he said?

That question is correct, Patrickabor.

Do you love music?
Does he play football everyday?
Does she like dance?
Does it moving slowly?
Do we go cinema every week?
Do you like banana?
Do they know swimming?

Do you love music?
Does he play football everyday? ← Does he play football every day?
Every day (a two word expression) means daily/each day.
Everyday (a one word expression) actually just means ordinary or commonplace.

Does she like dance? ← Does she like to dance? (She takes part)
Does she like dance? = Does she like the performance art of dance, not necessarily doing it.

Does it moving slowly? ← Does it move slowly? / Is it moving slowly?

Do we go cinema every week? ← Can we go to the cinema every week?

Do you like banana? ← Do you like bananas?
Do they know swimming? ← Can they swim? / Do they know how to swim?

Hello,
Do you like cofee?
Do they learn English?
Do you play voleyball well?
Does she write you a letter?
Does he favourite icecream?
Does it like meat?

Do you like coffee?
Are they learning English?
Can you play volleyball well?
Is she writing you a letter?
Does he have a favourite ice-cream?
Does it like meat?

does he go to school?

Hi Bishtvimla,

You haven’t used any capital letters. Do you know when to use them? I’ll be happy to review your sentences once you have included some.

Hi sunny,
Do you have a car?
Does she work in downtown?
Does he know how to play a piano?
Do you know mathematics?
Do she live far from the country?
Well, this is.
Best regards!
