Dear language lovers! The following essay contains a lot of idioms and expressions that describe how politicians communicate. For example, there is the expression ‘to keep a low profile’ which means ‘not to draw much attention to yourself’.
In total, you will learn more than 30 expressions many of which are listed again at the end of Alan’s essay Party Conferences.

Another entertaining essay. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Although the important words, expressions and idioms ‘explain’ themselves the way they are used in the essay, it is good to have their meanings readily available at the end of the essay. This is a useful introduction.

more happy if you continue the same when you write essay in future.
I will never criticize about any government( politics )whether it is good or not.
Because our country India is Democratic country. Democratic means
by the people, for the people, of the people. You may aware of that.
That is why we are not facing any problem.
The essay is interesting and curious, I’ve never lived in England, there are a lot of idioms, is important, at the same time, I believe that I have to learn a lot.
Hi every one,
Whenever I do study English, or any other language I feel like more excited about it.
I mean for me English is like an international, and when I speak to other people in English all the people who close to me like to practice it with me.Also I have found this web site kind of very interesting for learning English, and make friends around the world.

I loved the idea of putting most complicated words and idioms bellow the text with valuable explanations.
please do the same with your future essays, because even if we understand the idiom in context we will maybe not remember it or recognize it in different context.
Best,
