Dear Torsten
I have just listened to your record and now I’m thinking what kind of drink the GoogleGulp is. No, nothing of the kind. If I’m not mistaken it’s a good joke. How clever of you. Thanks a lot.
Please listen to my recording and respond with a voice message too. Many thanks.
can anyone tell me where to use “though”
You use though to introduce a statement in a subordinate clause which contrasts with the statement in the main clause.
“He is very good at maths, though he struggles with calculus.”
Where ‘though’ is used at the beginning of a sentence, it is usually ‘although’ that would be written.
“Although my English is improving, I still have a lot of work to do.”
You often use though to introduce a fact which you regard as less important than the fact in the main clause.
“I have completed this essay, though I don’t think it’s the best I’ve ever written.”
Have you been gulped?
That was great …!!! you post your message on the 1st day of April [ that was April’s fools day]. I didn’t know that you are a “joker”.
by the way what’s the taste of GoogleGulp drink?
Please tell me who have been gulped.
Thanks
Torsten,YOU’re kidding After all these days of the week, months and so on …it’s amazing…like a gulp of cold water. Thanks for lesson 12.Have a nice day.
