Hi,
Bagheera, yeah! I have to submission the thesis next week! But these days I am really exhausted about life, and almost everything around me. I may suicide - Just kidding! Tonight I bought a lot of vegetables, chocolate, fruits, and some other goodies. Maybe they help me to be cheerful. I was also roaming about two hours around the city streets to breath the fresh air.
If I make it, I will become a post graduated fellow. Of course it is not the only single one issue, but it is the biggest one. I am working on Persian poems. Its title is Automation of the creation of a critical version using multiple manuscripts. However, I am at the end of the completion of the documentation.
I will inform you the good news next time - I hope so.
Khayyam, your job sounds interesting. I always would love to travel to Istanbul. I merely can speak Turkish - I am from Tabriz. I can understand it, but I am not a good speaker.
Merhaba Pasban,
So you from Tebriz. I can read Persian but cant speak. We have many Persian word in our language. So where do you live actually?
I hope we can hear good news about your thesis. So is there anything about Omar Khayyam in your thesis then?
If you want to learn anything concerning to Turkish, please ask me. Recently many Perisian have been visitied Turkey.
Sa-ool, Yashasin - Many thanks.
Actually, my test case is Shahnama by Ferdawsi. Besides, I am working to produce a software to accept all kinds of manuscripts; Poems, prose, and so forth.
We live in a house - LOL. It takes about fifteen minutes to the city center by bus.
I love the Cartoon Networks’ cartoons. I was also watching AkiliTV, Karal, Euro-D, and some other really, really entertaining channels. You know, we have just five national sometimes really boring channels. I had a satellite yesteryear, but now, I am really busy with these university and TOEFL staffs, and more importantly this lovely, lovely military services.
I will come to see there, at leas for my Honeymoon - maybe next three years!
@Salivan: How have you been Salivan? Nice to hear you! As for me, I’m a little bored, and anxious about my English, and how to reach my goals, actually I can’t improve my grammar skills, to be honest, grammar is not my cup of tea hehe. Perhaps, do I need to read more, or write more?
Yes! Yes! I know, I need to work it better, and stay calm hehe,
@Bagheera301: Hello Bagheera301, welcome again hehe, of course, join us! Be my guest! You are very nice!
@Khayyam06: Hi Khayyam06, how are you my friend, Turkey is also a nice place to be, isn’t it? I hope one day I may visit many countries in Europe and Middle East. They are really fantastic.
Hi again!
Khayyam, Ukraine is a country of contrast: extreme povery against extereme luxury. I think you would like Ukraine despite all its drawbacks, because we have a lot in common. Though Ukraine is my Motherland I have to confess that every sphere of our life is corrupted and it’s difficult to make a career even if you are clever and hardworking. Though many people manage to achieve success. Our problem is that there is no middle class in Ukraine and all foreigners think that we have no history and no dignity. But it is not true. For instance, the history of the city I live in dates back to 1256. It’s the only city of Eastern Europe which was marked on the ancient maps. Ukraine has a difficult history, it was invaded by many neighbours and it influenced the mentality of peole who live here. The unemployment rate is enormous, you have to give bribes to be taken to job. That is the reason why our people are so eager to do all dirty work in Europe. Ukraine has awful reputation in the world, because our politics, shame on these fat cats, turned their own people into slaves and prostitutes working in Western Europe. Nevertheless, not everything is that bad. There are people whose living standards are like European’s. In my view, trvavelling business is ok here, besides Turkey and Egypt are the most popular resorts. Even poor people can afford trip to Turkey, with other countries we must have visas and embassies are very strict with us. In my opinon Turks are fine people, they’re friendly, communicative & like feasts; your cuisine is delicious. Europeans are different, they are more concentrared on money-making, achieving their life goals. From my experience I can say that Turks and Greeks are close to our mentality, there is something in common I can’t event explain. So, to sum up, I will add there are always two sides of the medal, and only on thinking twice, you can decide whether Ukraine is worth a working attempt.
Hi Marcelo! I’m sleepy, so just wanted to greet! It’s night in Ukraine and tommorow I have to rise early! Bye-bye everyone!
Marcelo, I had that damn issue once. So, please let me take a short chit-chat about this in the late morning!
It’s almost 2:00am, here. Bagheera, I am sleepy as well. Zzzzzz.
Good morning everyone!
Bagheera, it’s really awful because of these fat cats in your country. Of course these days there are many of them in all over the world. I wish they understand the situation and help their people. It’s obvious that we love our countries.
Marcelo,
It reminds me one year ago when I was struggling to learn the grammar rules. I was studying whole the week, all days. Guess what? I was forgetting all of them. I remember that I was telling myself ‘What’s the point of all this rules?’, ‘Why do I have learn to use the Past Perfect tense?’, and questions like these.
Now, when I am reviewing those rules, guess again! I completely understand every word of that! As I am thinking about that, I think what made me to understand them now, is just practicing and using them.
Therefore, I suggest you that every grammar rule that you want to memorize, just write something about that. My strategy is that I am supposing that I am learning because I want to teach these rules to another one. Below, I have created a simple topic to write what I am going to learn about grammar, and other staffs. It really help me to organize my thoughts and learning more efficient and practical. So, please participate to help each other to learn fast and efficient.
[color=darkred]Hi again!
Khayyam, Ukraine is a country of contrast: extreme povery against extereme luxury. I think you would like Ukraine despite all its drawbacks, because we have a lot in common.
Bagheera, you are definetely right. We have o lot in common. In Turkey some people lives in poverty others live in prosperity. There is really big gap between the poor and the rich.
However, Turkey has been doing well for 4 years. Everything is cahanging. Paople are questioning for their rights. Before you get a job, you have to pass the exams related with the job you choose. It wasnt like that before. You needed to give bribes for getting job.
But when you want to get promoted for the higher position, you will need a friend at court to help you. Otherwise you wont get it.
Better condition for people in our countries depends on education, honesty, strong economy …
Khayyam, thank goodness that your country have been started to progress and develop in a good manner.
We have the inflation, too, and finding a proper job is really hard. Of course there are a lot of worthless job to do, but they don’t suffice me after all.
The President said that everything is fine here, but, I think he is under some kind of misunderstanding. We you work 10 hours a day, it all will be gone when you want to buy meet, rice, oil, vegetables, and other necessities exactly one kilogram of each! In my own opinion, it is not fair to have this much inflation. And I am sure that you know we are under boycott since eight or more years ago!
The good news is that we are still alive!
Things are not awful that much, but we look forward to getting better off. I love my country, and I will help it to develop.
Merhaba Salivan,
(شاهنامه) Shah Nameh is one of the best historical and mythical literature in Iran. I think there is many examples of miniatures in Shah Nameh. When Ottaman was governing Turkey and around, most of the litterateurers were impressed by Persian Literature.
My country is getting better if you compare with last years. Altough there are great many things to do, Turkey is respected by foreigners.
When we consider, it look as if Iran is strong country. We dont get clear news from your country. It is more like everything is confidential. You have good relationship with China Pakistan and Turkey. We like your country. We are kind of relatives. You import petrol and fuel. Your economy should be a lot better. I thing more democracy will be solution of these problems. Anyway, young population in Iran is promising for the future.
Here I am Friends!
Well it’s not easy to discuss complex political and economic issues, isn’t it? But all we can do is hope for the better and to contribute to the prosperity of our countries. Nothing but highly qualified work helps country to develop and prosper. And I will never believe it’s imposible. All you can do is to be pacient, flexible and recourceful. I like the famous words of Mr.Kennedy ‘Don’t ask what your country did for you, ask what you did for the one’.
Khayyam, Turkey is a nice country and Istanbul is amazing. I’m glad the problems you used to have disappeared. If you decide to come to Ukraine you are welcome, still there are al ot of honest & sincere people. There are a lot of tycoons who could be worked with. Despite all the mud I have written (it would be stupid to lie, as it would be lieing to myself & its always better to face the truth) I do believe that the situation will improve in the near future.
Pasban, I wish you luck in your thesis completion. Unfortunately, I know nothing about Persian poetry, so I’m not able to discuss it with you. But, I wish I could! Don’t be so nervous. I understand you quite well, but I know from my own experience that nervous breakdowns never help. Easiear said then done, isn’t it? But I’m sure next week (or when is the deadline?) we will toast here virtual champagne to your success. I wish ‘all the universe conspired in helping you to achieve’ your goal!
Marcelo, I think you just need some time to digest all the rules. Believe me, you are not the only person getting frusrated about the issue. Don’t give up, the rusult will appear later, just never stop working regularly. And step by step you will feel the improvement of your knowledge. The thing is that, learning a language is never a short and easy process. PROCESS is the key idea about it. Day in, day out you are programming your brain by exercising and practicing. And try to be pacient. Though they say it’s possible to master a foreign language in 3 or 6 months, it’s not true. I have been studying English for years, but there is always something new and confusing. So keep your chin up!
Well, don’t have time for this. To tell you the truth I’m here more to chat than doing tests. I don’t have much opportunity to talk to native speakers, so I’m taking the advantage of the situation. My problem is that I want to answer quickly and just to enjoy talking to people. Besides I’m not very quick in typing. Forum is so absorbing that I merely have time to have a look at the tests they post me.
Are you sure about the fruits, because as far as I know the noun ‘fruit’ doesn’t have plural form or am I mistaken?
First-fruits: Earliest fruits of the season; First results.
I think fruit is like the word fish!
When you talk about one kind of fish, for example one hundred eels, you may say: Those eels are very dangerous fish.
But when you are talking about many kinds of fish in a group, or something like a group, you may say: Hey, look at those fishes!
For more assurance, please let me ask Alan, though.
