I wish to have some feedback on how I sound
thanks
1- I feel like I wanna drink some water
2- We’d better boil this water before we drink it.
3- I’m boiling water to make some more coffee.
4-Could I please have some ketchup for my hamburger?
5- give me a glass of water .
I think your water sounded pretty good! You pronounced it with a “d”, which is called a flap t, and that’s how it would normally be pronounced in the USA.
I think you pronounced the word “glass” a tad wrong. The vowel is “[æ]”, listen to how it should be pronounced:
Hi all
thanks a lot " our tort system" I hope u keep commenting on my recordings
this time I’m not gonna write down what I’m saying because I wanna know how much people , especially native speakers, can catch of my accent , rhythm , intonation …etc
You have to appreciate that there are many ways of pronouncing words. The main point is clarity. In other words, if you are clearly understood, you have achieved your goal. I believe that is true in your case. The English I speak is classified as standard non-regional southern English and I will read your sentences so that you can compare how they sound with other versions. Incidentally, it is better and clearer to say: ‘I want to’ rather than ‘I wanna’.
