It has been argued that computers are the most crucial creation of the last hundred years. From my perspective, I advocate this statement to a certain extent.
There are many reasons why people of the opinion that computers play an indispensable part in our life. Firstly, because the computer acts as a labor-saving device, it reduces human efforts in various activities. Gone are the days when people have to spend a lot of time calculating. These days, with the help of computers, people take this just in a few seconds. Additionally, it also helps people to save money. Without costing a penny to commute, people can stay at home to deal with their work with a mouse click. Another benefit is that human beings can broaden their knowledge. Due to the incredible capacity to store data, computers assist people in studying, teaching, and researching effectively.
On the other hand, I believe that there are a couple of inventions far more significant. One of these inventions is the Internet. In fact, these days, to work efficiently, most technological devices need to connect to the Internet. For example, people can only make a video call or send an e-mail to whom is far away by a computer connected to the Internet. The second one that should be mentioned is the advent of planes. An airplane can transport a large group of individuals or freight in a relatively short amount of time. That contributes to the development of transportation.
In conclusion, although computers are necessary for our life, I think that there are other inventions that have been more vital.

What do you mean by “it’s been argued”? This phrase sounds too contrived and artificial, even software applications can write better sentences than this. I mean, who are talking about? Who are the people that allegedly have been arguing that computers are the most crucial creation of the last (one)hundred years?

You are not disturbing me at all. I’ve given this piece of advice a lot of times: Instead of trying to please the bureaucrats at IELTS you should focus on what you really enjoy doing. Find alternative ways of acquiring knowledge and exchanging ideas. Free yourself of the mental chain that ancient and outdated organizations like IELTS have built around your neck. Nobody is going to ever read your IELTS essays so stop wasting your time and energy on them.

Thanks for your contribution.I understand your advice. But I still hope that you can show me my errors in my essay. That helps me a lot to improve my writing. Besides, I think that IELTS or any other certificates like this also improves English knowledge by practicing it. If you want to improve your writing skills it’s best if you engage in real conversations rather than trying to compete with computers. I mean, why are learning English? Because somebody told you that you need an IELTS certificate?

It helps me acquire knowledge and exchange my ideas. I think that whatever English certificates we prepare help us improve our English. We know more new words, speak more fluently, know how to write in English. Moreover, it also gives us confidence in a world where English has become a global language.

Very nice topic you have chosen for improving English. Of course Computer is a device which make everyone to be lazy since it has more memory than ours. I feel that Computer is like a Robot since we take that wherever we go, without computer we are all zero not hero, since our hand writing, spelling mistakes, grammar check that we cannot do it ourselves unless by computer/online. Definitely, we would feel when we type a small word to big word, it shows red line under the word that our spelling is incorrect, then we would correct them by checking it google or dictionary, that way we could improve our English. I hope that you would have faced same time of problem when you type. We should see the benefits over all by using computer. I have improved my English only after joining the Forum only. My coach was Sir Torsten, not now. My suggestion is, keep writing, doing mistakes would make you a great master. I do not have that my knowledge to correct your English.
