thank you for your ABC song.

Hello Davey 5,

Me also I like very much Lauren’s songs. After having read your letter I saw that not the ABC song is there but “I you are happy, clap your hands”. I thought I was mistaken. But not.
After having listened to it on the bottom of the picture you can see Lauren’s all records and if somebody listen to an other one, that remains there.

Bye for now:
Kati

Hi

The above Alphabet showed us as if we look like a mini dictionary not like ABC Song.

Thank you

Shanthi S.

Hi Santhi,

It isn’t really a song but I copied a children book. You can imagine how a mother teach her child to speak. We are adult, so we have to learn the correct pronunciation.

It’s very difficult. Because if a sound stressed or unstressed its pronunciation changes. For example: A-is a vowel and here has 4 kinds of pronunciation - or more?
-accident
-acacia
-aeroplain
-arm

The pronunciation “r” is very difficult because our tongue is not trilling or rolling. A mother can teach easily her child but we have to learn from a voiced dictionary.

And the diphthongs-they are a combination of two vowels. I noticed one difference between the BE and AmE.
bow,
robot
yolk
dingo
etc.

Hello Kati Svaby,

Your contributions in this page are really praiseworthy! It’s not only the children to be benefitted, the adults would also learn a lot about correct pronunciation of alphabets and where to stress and where not to.

Best regards,

Mujibur

Dear Katti Teacher,

Thank you for your guidance about pronouncitation about vowels and alphabet.
I too agree with you as we are adult we have to learn pronounciation,
why I pointed out that the tilttle is ABC Song, so just I said for fun/jolly.

Thank you

Hi Santhi,

Thanks for your answer. I admit you that my reading out of these words was rather difficult for me. I used the voiced Oxford Dictionary where are several times 2 or 5 pronunciations(BrE, AmE) and I didn’t want to read out all.

Except that the diphthongs but the other vowels also. I tried to stick to the BrE. but I mentioned sometimes the AmE. also.

F.exp: garage has 3 BrE pronunciations and 2 AmE pronunciation.
I know that somebody who speaks BrE uses only one but I think we have to to understand both languages, haven’t-we?

Best regards:
Kati Svaby

Hello Mujibur,

Do you like these pages?

You know we had to clear out our rooms and I found the English children books what my first grand-daughter received from her American grand-mother.I remember that I didn’t dare to read out these words to her, only her parents read them. Now I am more familiar with these words but even to-day I don’t dare to learn them to a child. An adult can control them and where I made a mistake an adult person could correct.

Bye:
Kati

Hi,

When my friend asked me "How many alphabets are in English?, I said there are 26 alphabet.
immediately she told that there are 52, then I asked her, how, then she said,
Upper Case 26, Lower Case 26, total 52.

I really appreciated her humour mind.

Thank you

S.Shanthi
