Our first acquaintance with exotic animals begins with a zoo. It is the best way to show a child a lion which he has seen in his book of fairytales. From the other hand, seeing all these poor animals in cages, a small child can think that this cruel way to keep animals is normal in our society. So are zoos worth visiting or do you feel only a deep regret for all those animals after visiting it?
As I have mentioned, a zoo is the best way to see animals from other countries and even continents. I have no opportunity to go to the Arctic to look at penguins but at the zoo I can see some kinds of them in one place. Without any doubt, it is very convenient. Sometimes it is impossible to hold back a tear when you see a big polar bear in our hot climate. Thanks to the modern techniques it is possible to maintain the proper temperature for him but at the same time he has limited free space for swimming.
As it is well known you need to sacrifice something to get more. Saying more I mean the happy faces of children who see all these animals for the first time in their life, even adults, I noticed, become very happy and friendly when they spend their free time in the fresh air with their children looking at funny behavior of animals.
I have been to many Zoos of Europe and think that that the best solution to avoid limited space for animals is to build not cages but big fencing territories like in Prague, for instance. Czech republic can be proud of its zoo, doing everything possible to provide the proper conditions for animals , so they can feel themselves like in their common habitats.
All in all, communicating with animals makes our children happier and us kinder, and it does not matter whether it is your pet or a lion from a zoo.

Good morning Ailana. This was certainly not your best work. However it was acceptable.
