Write a letter to a college Principal, where you attended one day computer course and are unhappy about the way it was conducted. Explain the type of course, what happened and what can be done that it never happen again
Dear Professor Jones,
I am writing to suggest some improvements for the one day Introduction To Java For Beginners Programming Class (JPC03) .
I am a first year computer science student and attended the class last week hoping to get a quick start on the Java programming language. Unfortunately there were some problems with the class. The A1 computer lab was double booked and the class had to move to a different room. There some students were unable to run the examples as some machines had incorrect versions of required software installed.
It took around two hours to set up all computer correctly and to make up for the lost time the instructor decided to skip some of the introductory examples. For me this made it quite hard to follow the class and I felt unable to solve the programming assignments later in the afternoon as I felt I lacked some basic concepts.
I plan to re-take the class and would ask you to ensure beforehand all machines are properly installed. Maybe you could also ask Mrs Miller to spend more time of the class on fundamentals and offer a separate advanced class?
Thank you very much for your time and I hope my feedback helps to improve the class.
