yesterday

Are these acceptable?

  1. I had my dinner at my wife’s one of the relatives’ house yesterday.

  2. Today too, I had my dinner there. [How to re-write this in a better way using the words ‘yesterday’, ‘the same place’ etc,?]

  3. Today, I had my lunch at the same place where I had taken my dinner yesterday.

Many thanks.

I had dinner at one of my wife’s relative’s yesterday. (‘House’ could be included after ‘relative’s’, but is usually assumed.)
I had dinner there today too.
Today I had lunch at the same place as I had dinner yesterday.

Thanks a lot. I was unaware of this. I am sorry for wasting your time.
I thought that my query didn’t get posted so I re-posted the same in a new thread.

I was badly in need of money, so I made a quick call to Sunita (for money).

She gave me the good news. She told me that my dad and mom had come home this evening at around 5:30 p.m.

I hurriedly went home to meet them. After staying there for 20 minutes or so I returned. My mom gave me one grand.

With this amount, I managed to buy essential things.

Thanks a lot for the correction.

I hurried home to meet them. After staying for 20 minutes or so, I returned.

Other than that the problem is with long-windedness which makes them sound unnatural.

Dear Bev,
First of all thank you very much indeed for your attention to my post.
Do you think that the other sentences are understandable? If not, please help me with your suggestion and correction.
Thank you once again.

Hi Bev,

“I hurried home to meet them.” is incorrect.
Should I say, it’s your typo.

Hi, Noren

If Bev said that, It is correct.
He’s a master of English (an Expert) and helped me a lot. His answers can take for granted.

I hurried home to meet them
is NOT incorrect.

Perhaps there would be less confusion if you had asked about that in THIS thread, rather than beginning a new thread for a continuing question.

Am I right if I say these?

  1. As soon as it stopped raining, he hurried back to work. ( past tense of hurry)

  2. They resumed work, after a hurried lunch. (adjective)

  3. She hurriedly replied to my question. (adverb)

Thanks

yes

As always, thanks a lot to you for your help.
