Would you rather have the university assign a student to share a room with you, o

You have been told that dormitory rooms at your university must be shared by two students. Would you rather have the university assign a student to share a room with you, or would you rather choose your own roommate?
In general, people prefer to select and have the best one, sometimes even they know that there will not be any big differences if they choose or others do it for themselves. In this context, sharing your room with other student could happen in a university life. As far as I am concerned, I prefer to choose my own roommate among my friends.
Firstly, I feel myself more secure and comfortable in this situation when I share my dormitory room with my friend. My friend is the person who I believe and rely on. My friend and I have a lot in common and our characters are similar also. If university assigns my roommate it will be challenging for me due to fact that I don’t know the character of that person. It will take a long time to get to know that person. For example, that person could go to bed late than I do, or listen to music loudly that could bother me. I should say that my friend’s sleeping time and music preference works for me.
Secondly, living with my friend in the same dormitory room will help me to do well in the study. We can share our notes after lectures with my roommate who is my friend. We can discuss and prepare our lessons together that will be delightful for both of us. In addition, cleaning and preparing dinner and other staffs could be distributed between us easily that would be useful for both of us to saving time and spending more time on studying. However, if university assigns a student, might be, this student will not like to help me in cleaning and others.
In summary, to choose your roommate is better than other. You will be secure and satisfied with your roommate. In addition, you can spend more time on your study.

TOEFL listening lectures: To which entertainment does the lecturer not relate Greek drama?

Hi Lilly, I enjoyed your essay, especially as I had one of the worst roommates in the world who was assigned to me my freshman year. Your writing is pretty clear, but you do have a few unnatural sounding phrases. You have addressed the prompt well and supplied some good examples. You do have some minor grammatical errors here and there though. Overall, I would rate this a 4 out of 5.

Dear Luschen,

Thank you very much for your help. It is really valuable contribution to my TOEFL preparation. Taking this opportunity, I would like to say Happy New Year to you and your family!

Best wishes,

Lilly

Thanks, and Happy New Year to you - although if you are in Vietnam or China I guess we are 1 month too early, right? The Year of the Horse is next - does that mean good luck?

I guess I know what you mean.

Because I live in Belgium, I follow the western calendar. My understanding is that new year comes in March in some countries. Yes, I think it means good luck. At least, I believe that.
