Words like 'Current', 'present' in reported speech

Hello,
I wanted to ask you whether anything happens to words like ‘Current’, ‘present’ in reported speech. Eg. if someone said “I recommend that you continue your current treatment” then can we report it in this way:
“He recommended that current/the current treatment be continued”
or does “current” change somehow?
Best regards.

The words will stay the same.

‘He recommended that I continued the current course of treatment’ is fine.
If you are reporting on a dialogue from a considerable time ago, and the treatment has now finished or changed, then you might choose to say soemthing like,
‘He recommended that I continued the course of treatment that I was following at that time.’

Thanks a lot both of you:)
And is this sentence correct:
“He recommended that the current treatment be continued”
?

yes.
