Hello, Storm-- and welcome to English-Test.net.

I’d like to see you try first to supply answers, and then we’ll check your efforts.

I would try as you may view in the <…> below:

Matt and Sarah (have) some difficulties in their relationship lately, so they (go) to a marriage counselor yesterday. I hope they (work) everything out soon.

.
Those are good answers, storm. If the word ‘yesterday’ were not in the sentence, then you could use present perfect continuous there, too:

Matt and Sarah have been having some difficulties in their relationship lately, so they have been going to a marriage counselor. I hope they work everything out soon.
.

I am appy with the clarification.
I just like it here that people help me.
