... with no supper vs. without supper

Hi,

“Did he tell Francis to go to bed with no supper?”.
Can we also say “Did he tell Francis to go to bed without supper?”.

Hi Francis, welcome to our forum and thanks a lot for taking the time to ask this interesting question. As I see it, both of the sentences you wrote are correct. You could also say ‘without any supper’ to stress the fact that you were not allowed to eat anything which implies you might be hungry. Let’s see what @Luschen has to say on this.
