2. The English version will be soon available. [color=blue]This version has no merit. Don’t use it. There is no good reason to separate “be” and “available”.

I’m sure Waiyin Cheng realises that strictly speaking it ought to be punctuated like that.

Using a different line for an example is a ‘shorthand’ device I tend to use a lot on the forum. It makes the example stand out from the explanation and eliminates the need for additional punctuation. If it’s good enough for dictionaries then it has its place alongside the more standard form of punctuation.
