Is gre barron’s enough for vocab?? i mean will questons- analogy, antonym, sentence completion contain only words from barron’s?? if not then which other words should we study n from where??
IMHO Barron’s is way too much for GRE…it has 3,500 words! You’re going to see only a tiny fraction of those words on your test, so it’s not worth it if you ask me. Get one of the shorter lists. I have Word Smart for the GRE and it’s perfect.
You are doing more verbal prep than just studying vocab, right?
thanks for ur reply… ya u r right . i am doin more words thn prep. so i have only 10 days left for my exam?how do i prepare… any tip??i am weak at RC, but strong at maths. any tip for prep on verbal??
RC is tough to improve in 10 days, but keep working at it and doing practice problems. Do you have any guidebooks with tips for RC? What have you tried?
The big thing that works for me is not trying to read the passage too closely. You can get lost in the details that don’t matter, and you can’t remember all of it anyway. Read the first and last sentence of each paragraph. If it’s a long passage, maybe jot some brief notes with key points. Then read the question, and look back to the passage for the paragraph where you can find the answer. Read that paragraph more closely, then look at your answer options.
Start with that. There are a lot of tips for RC in the various guidebooks, but hopefully this will help a bit!
