Test No. [color=blue]errors/inter-8 “Tenses”, answer 10

Where we are living now it is very easy to get to the shops because our house is near the town centre.

Correct entry: near
The error was: (d) next

You have [color=green]found the error but your entry is [color=red]incorrect.
Where we are living now it is very easy to get to the shops because our house is next to the town centre.

Hi Igor,

You can live next to an object (a building) and near an area (the town centre).

Let me know if this makes sense to you.[YSaerTTEW443543]

TOEIC listening, question-response: Who’s not available to come in on Saturday?[YSaerTTEW443543]

Hello,

As far as I know, a word is irrelevantly inserted into this test sentence of Question 10. The irrelevant word is “it”, which causes the construction ungrammatical. Could you please look into this matter?

Thank you.

Best wishes,
Bhikkhu1991a.

The sentence needs a comma or two:
Where we are living now, it is very easy to get to the shops because our house is near the town centre.

(i.e. it is an informal way of saying, "It is very easy to get to the shops from the place where we live at the moment…)

I can’t access that set of questions.
