A/D:
Students are more influenced by their teachers than by their friends.
No one can ever deny that one of the paramount ambitions of humankind is getting prosperous and make every effort to attain this purpose. However, prosperity has different meanings for every one and there are a wide variety of factors that contribute to it. In this regard, the ones who influence a youth or child in their education period can play a significant role. While some people believe that students are more influenced by their friends, others think that the teachers have more effects on them. Nevertheless, from my point of view the former opinion is more logical.
In the first place, I want to emphasize that every one is more influenced by their peers at every stage of their life. This is mainly because, they have the same experience and outlook toward life, and can understand each other much better. This is also true about students. While they feel awkward to talk about their personal matter and the problems they have with their professors, it is much easier for them to confine in their friends and discuss them. In addition, even if they talk to an adult and he gives them an advice, the youths usually do not accept it. This emanate from the fact that the angles mentioned by an adult is not conceivable for the young and they have their own perception. For example, if a student at his tens talk to a teacher, he will definitely recommend him do his best for future success, but at this age they want just enjoy themselves and have as fun as much as they can.
Aside from the matter of their age difference, student spend most of their time with their peers. In addition to the time that students are in schools, they spend about three to four hours with their friend hanging out with them and having pleasure. So, it is a forgone conclusion that their friends have much more influence on them.
On the other hand, those who advocate the opinion that teachers have more effects on the students reason that the students themselves know that the teachers are more knowledgeable and their hints can be much more valuable than a friend. From my perspective, however, a critical point seems to have been overlooked here. Knowledge is not the contributing factor to the acceptance one’s speech, but it is the closeness and the intimacy of the two persons.
To recapitulate, every person depending on his characteristic and temperament has different ideas about the most influential person on students. According to the preceding paragraphs, there are more reasons to support the idea that students are more influenced by their friends. This is primarily because they are peer and spend most of their time with each other.
Hi Farshad, I thought your essay was pretty good. You addressed the topic correctly and have provided some good support. Some more specific examples might have been more persuasive though. Your writing is generally clear, but you did have some odd sounding phrases and some sentences that did not really sound natural. Overall, I would rate this a 3.5 out of 5.
