Dear Torsten,
let me know, please, by forum when you’ll start the new skypecast. I think that would be really useful.

Good morning Torsten
I went through the overview of the TOEIC, thank you very much.
Unfortunately, i do not have english TV channels at home, but English Learning Skypecast sounds great. I will definitely join the discussion.
That would be great if you can post a link to full length TOEIC tests, as i am really wondering my current level.
I am working for a company which sends teachers to schools, companies to teach english. I am currently teaching english at 2 elementary schools and business english at some japanese companies. And also, doing my own business, doing export/import from/to Japan/Turkey. However, as i said before, i want to work for a japanese company in my own field in which my educational and professional background are used to their fullest in order to gain experience and make business environment. That is why, i am planning to take TOEIC and JLPT exams.
By the way, i decided to buy the TOEIC secrets and TOEIC preparation package based on your suggestion, is that ok?
thanks

Good evening, A. Kansu
You’re welcome.
What about Internet radio? For example, the BBC websites has audio files that you can listen to.
Yes, that’s the good idea you can purchase the Official TOEIC Test Preparation Guide. It’s an excellent book that comes a lot of TOEIC exercises and two full length TOEIC tests. I’ve been using this book ever since we registered as a TOEIC test center and it has been really helpful because it allows you to simulate a real TOEIC test as well as providing you with a lot of explanations. It also contains the tapcescipt of all audio recordings that are included on the CD’s.
So you are a very busy person, that’s fantastic! Could you please tell me how and when you started to teach English? What do you like most about your job and why are you running your own business? It’s interesting to hear that you are also going to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test? How good is your Japanese?
Yes, TOEIC Secrets contains a lot of insider information and a strategy that helps you maximize your score. If you like, we can continue sharing our experiences on TOEIC prep resources.
Talk to you soon,

Hi Torsten
Sorry for the late reply…
Thanks a lot for your invaluable help.
Further to your questions in your earlier mail; I started to teach english when i realized that i can not find the job i want unless i come up to a certain level in japanese. Teaching english,as well as my experience in learning english to japanese kids should be one of the best thing i have ever done in my life. It has been 8 months since i started teaching japanese elementary school kids, and i even thought of leaving to run after my dreams to be a businessman and staying as an english teacher for the rest of my life. However, it was until 6th grades graduated and left us for junior high school when i noticed that i can not stay as a teacher, as their leave made me really sad, infact, it would have happened once every year… So, this will be my last year as an english teacher as my japanese came up to a level where i will be able to struggle for JLPT level 2. If i can do well in the test, then i will go and apply for my dream japanese companies from where i believe i will be able to learn manythings.
By the way, ’ the TOEIC test package’, ‘Official TOEIC Test Preparation Guide’ and ‘TOEIC secrets’ Which one (two) would you suggest me to buy?
I also want to ask 2 more questions about my english learning. 1) I also want to improve my pronunciation. I have a little british accent which i gained during my stay in London. Is there any software program, a book with CD etc. that u can suggest me to buy which will enable me to improve my pronunciation.
2) I want to have a detailed grammar book including all points from A to Z, which i can look up if i get stuck with any grammar point. ( Sometimes, some of my company students are asking such diffucult questions that i can not answer straightaway.) In order to prevent myself from these kinds of situations, i want to have a well explained grammar book in which i can find even small details. ( might be more than one book, no problem)
And also, i want to share some of my experiences in english and/or japanese learning with people too. Next time, i will post a list of links to some good language learning softwares, online dictionaries etc.
Speak soon
Kansu
Well, since you are preparing to take the TOEIC yourself rather than preparing other TOEIC test candidates to take the exam, I think the TOEIC Test Package and the Official TOEIC Test Preparation Guide are probably the tools you start with.
Have you tried googling “accent reduction”, “British accent”, “improving my pronunciation”, etc.? Also, there is an excellent website called “Antimoon” and you might want to read what they have to say on how to improve your pronunciation.
You might want to purchase Raymond Murphy’s English Grammar in Use Package which is an excellent grammar recourse book that comes with exercises and explanations and even a CD ROM.
That’s fantastic, I really look forward to it. Please, note that the word “software” is uncountable so you can say “good language learning software programs” or “good language learning software”.

Have you seen the new preparation website at worldtoeic.com ?
It is run by a TOEIC Test centre and is very good.
Why don’t you try www.onlineenglish.eu TOEIC Preparation Online. It is operated by an Official TOEIC Test Centre and Administrators.
Don’t get fooled by advertising jargon such as TOEIC Secrets… there are NONE!
The TOEIC is a Test of English proficiency, there are no secrets, only common sense, the improvement of your English skills and the advantage of becoming accustomed to the test! These are NOT secrets!
We would be very pleased to welcome all students that wish to prepare seriously for the TOEIC Test at www.worldtoeic.com .
