Which one is grammatically correct?

Hello everybody,
Which one is grammatically correct?

Question: What position is being advertised?

Answer:
A. The position is being advertised is a secretary.
B. The secretary position is being advertised.
C. The position being advertised is a secretary.

Thank you in advance.

C is the correct response from those options.
It is akin to:
The position (that is) being advertised is (that of) a secretary.

Ma’am, if there’s no option C, can we choose B? B is passive sentence, isn’t it?

For me all three sentences are bad. I would say-

The position of secretary is being advertised.

Oh, Ok, Thank you so much Mrs. Beees and Mr. Alan. Your reply really help me much.

While I tend to agree with you, I have two questions.

  1. Isn’t ‘the post of secretary’ correct as we use that phrase most often here?
  2. Can’t we say ‘the secretary’s position/post’?
  1. The question was not about ‘post of secretary’. Both ‘post’ and ‘position’ are plausible.
  2. Again, that was not an option in the question.
  1. The position of secretary=The secretary’s position? Answer only after understanding the question.

I understood before I answered. You should follow your own advice.

Understand now that my question is: 2. Can’t we say ‘the secretary’s position/post’? (which was specifically addressed to Alan)

I understood that. You don’t seem to have such a good understanding.
You also don’t seem to understand the way a public forum works.

Yes, you also don’t seem to understand the way a public forum should work. I post my views in a normal manner. LUSH.

Good. I’m glad you post in anticipation that anyone is welcome to answer.

Thanks for the compliment too.
