Which Harry Potter character would you hang with for the day?

Hi,
Here is a question in the daily opinion poll on the web scholastic.com/harrypotter/activities/poll/ (which is about “Harry Potter” :P)

Which Harry Potter character would you hang with for the day?
a. Ron
b. Harry
c. Hermione
d. Professor Dumbledore

=> I can’t understand what the question mean (but I guess it must mean something good as they are all good characters :P)
Could you please tell me?

Thank you very much.
Nessie

Hi Nessie

I would understand “hang with” (or also “hang out with”) to mean “spend time with” in that context.
.

Thanks a lot, Amy

So does “hang with” or “hang out with” always have that meaning? or just in this particular context?

Many thanks once again :stuck_out_tongue:

I might like to hang, and not hang with, Harry Potter himself.

Thanks Molly :stuck_out_tongue:
But what about my last question?
