There are many problems students encounter when they move to a new school. For example, not being familiar with a new school environment, new students, new languages and so on. In the following paragraphs, I will describe strategies school staff can use to help new students face these problems in a new school.

In a new school environment, the administrative employees of the school should prepare new students for a new school setting. Students need this preparation because they may have never experienced a different sitaution in the past. For instance, they may find people eating or speaking in ways they have never seen or heard. Administrative employess should help students become accustomed to the new school environment.

In terms of a new language, teachers should educate new students in the correct use of language they will need to live in the surrounding community. Correct language usage is imporant for academic study and social life. Anyone who wants to get high grades in school should fully understand the language that is being spoken there.

As far as culture, school staff should teach new students the culture of the society in which they live. Cultural knowledge is useful since it allows a student to interact with his school-mates in an effective manner.
