What's the meaning of "I'm good for it"?

I recently watched a 25 years old moive called Silverado. In this movie, a man named Emmett gave a man named Paden a dollar and then Paden said “I’m good for it”.(instead of saying: thank you). After that a man named Cobb borrowed 13 dollars to Paden and Paden said “I’m good for it” again.

I’d like to know what “I’m good for it” means. Thanks in advance.

It means all this: ‘(You know that) I’ll have the necessary cash to pay you back, so you can trust me to settle my debts with you.’
