The arts are visual and studio arts, performing arts, and music, while the humanities are any subject that deals with what it means to be a human and the ways humans experience the world. That is very broad indeed! So this includes languages, literature, archaeology, history, religion, philosophy, communication, and all the specializations in these fields.
