I wonder if the verb highlighted is correct in that tense?

Manager Jack McKeon is cautious on how to deal with the blister, because in the past Beckett has returned about three weeks after going on the DL only to [color=blue]aggravated the blister again.

Is this a kind of style or just a typo?

I reckon it’s a misprint for the infinitive.
