Hello! Can you tell me the difference between
to seek for sleep
and
to try to sleep
Many thanks
Try to sleep simply means make an effort to sleep but [color=red]seek for sleep doesn’t make sense I’m afraid. Seek as a verb means try very hard to get or find and is used in special cases in expressions like seek peace/help, which is a sort of formal or literary use.
-
"to seek " it is translated “to” (english-romanian)-- showing direction to something–
-
“seek” it is translated “finding”
, so for me make sense, but i sugesting you to learn an expresion not to translate it:
you can not use as synonym seek with finding in expresions.
I was wondering if nativ english people are unable to make an analogy or they doesn`t want…
Hi Nireve, you make a typo or spelling error in almost every single word. Please get rid of this bad habit right now if you want to continue to use this forum.
