what is meaning of this sentence
[color=blue]you have nothing to do with this matter
can we use
[color=blue]you have somthing to do with this matter
or
[color=blue]have you anything to do with this matter?
Means that you cannot impact on it,cannot change
Hi rizma,
You asked:
have nothing to do with means not to be involved in something often with the suggestion that it’s not your fault/responsibility as in:
You can’t blame me, I’m innocent as I had nothing to do with the matter
It can also be used in the question form:
Have you anything to do with this matter?
In the postive sense: She has something to do with the matter is also possible
suggesting that she is involved to some extent.

Dear Alan
(How are you? Long time no see!)
During my punctuation lessons sometime ago I came across/ learnt a point that a comma cannot be used between two complete sentence. Now I am a bit curious because your sentences seem complete, at least to me. Could you please guide me about it?Your sentences:
“You can’t blame me, I’m innocent as I had nothing to do with the matter.”
Ever yours

hi
I also would like to ask where we need to put commas
Hi Tom,
I’m fine thanks. The use of the comma here I intended as a break in what is supposed to be a conversation piece but what you learnt is fine as regards continuous prose.
You can’t blame me, I’m innocent as I had nothing to do with the matter."
