“in…way” and “…way” confuse me
I would not use ‘in’ with that informal sentence:
She cooks chicken the way I like (it),
However if you found it in a dictionary then I will not argue that point. It makes no difference to the meaning.
Here ‘the way’ relates to the method of cooking and the resultant taste/texture. etc.
