What is the difference between siesa and take a nap?

Would you tell me what is the difference between siesa and take a nap?

Hello,

Do you mean “siesta”?

You take/have a siesta.
The stores all close after lunch when everyone takes a siesta.
No difference in meaning. Only that ‘nap’ is more usual.

‘Siesta’ is simply the Spanish word for an afternoon nap or rest, which has been absorbed into English as a synonym for ‘nap’.
