I found that I couldn’t understand what it means.
Is there anyone who knows what ‘Be the afternoon kind.’ means?
the whole satement is “My Kindergarten is the afternoon kind.”
‘The afternoon kind’ in that sentence refers to a kindergarten with afternoon sessions.

In the USA, kindergarten is the first year of public school. However, kindergarten kids only have half a day of school. So half of the kindergarteners go to school in the morning and the other half go to school in the afternoon.

In your story, the child is apparently one of the children who attended kindergarten in the afternoon.
