What does “are you with me” means? It means : are you following me or are you agree with me?

I think that it means “are you following ?” or " do you understand ?"

" are you with me" can be use in the different situations,example; as a question asking for confirmation that somebody follow me , what I am saying …are you with me in this concret situation in my joy or pain…
