In dictionary, amigo means friends. But I heard people using amigo when they refer to Mexican guys. Is that a depreciate word to use?
Hi,
Amigo
Amigo is a Spanish and Portuguese word for friend also used in American English.

Hi, Goashan
Regardig to your question… It is not a depreciate word… it is very common to hear American saying that, so dont
worry… in stead of saying hey friend when the talk to spanish speaker they say " hey amigo"

Sergio
Hello Gaoshan,
Concerning your answer. Amigo means friend, and this is the singular word in spanish. Instead the plural form is Amigos that means friends.
