Hi,
Ari, I mean Youscream_Icecream, suggested that it must be a nice discussion about using acronyms/abbreviations like LOL (Laughing Out Loud), BTW (by the way), and so forth in our forum posts.

In my opinion, using these slang acronym/abbreviations in not appreciated. But, somehow, I would like to use LOL instead of Laughing Out Loud, or Hey, I am laughing.

I look forward to hearing your point of view.

LOL is not an acronym. It’s an abbreviation. Some acronyms and abbreviations can be used in formal writings especially they’re for organisations. In general, they do not contain funny or bad meanings.
