Actually, I’m focusing on the job-related commitment to choose my co-worker to guarantee better results. Therefore, the most important characteristic of the good co-worker, in my opinion, is efficiency. Efficiency is an important trait in employees because the co- worker positively affect by his talent and effort to advance the work quality. Efficiency also includes other traits; the efficient co –worker should be organized, have a good experience, and intelligent.
First, I prefer the efficient co-worker because he has good traits as organization. The organized people are the most successful ones at any work. Personally, I ‘am an organized guy, I ‘am unable to cooperate with messy people. For example, at my job, as an engineer, everyone in the work team has his own role to achieve. At the absence of commitments to organization and schedules, nothing will be done at his due. At once, my co-worker did not submit his designs of a steel construction commercial building, his due was next day. Guess what, the team leader assigned the left of the job to both of us to submit it tomorrow morning, you cannot imagine how tough to stay up all the night long to submit work to avoid missing the deadline.
In the increasingly competitive world marketplace, there is no room for the inexperienced people who do not have any apprenticeship during their school time. Similarly, companies’ owners and the general managers have no time to teach the new comers employers who do not practice experience at their career. For example, after graduation from architecture school, I was able to find a job easily because I heavily engaged in my career before graduation, since I was sophomore, at many real projects.
Although the hardworking qualities is very important quality, but also the intelligence is complement to the perfection. We cannot blame people for not being intelligent, but we have to take the advantage of the intelligent people to make a great shift and breakthrough at their specialties. For instance, at my career as an architect, the great architect Sir Norman Foster who designed many of the architecture wonder across the world in Britain, German, and France. Also, I have to mention the great architect Zaha Hadid who established a new architectural trend in Quabisam by her innovative masterpieces.
To sum up, I personally prefer the efficient co-worker, who have work-related qualities, such as organized, experienced, and intelligent.
