I’m new in this forum and i would like to know if the verb “were” could ever be used with “He, She or It” in formal English ? If yes, can you mention the cases…

Yes, you should use were when forming a conditional.
If she were a man, she would shave more often.
If he were a woman, he could hardly pee standing up.
