We need the other casino shut down for a while

I take it this sentence is an example of the subjunctive?]

We need the other casino shut down for a while.

I mean, would it also work with a ‘to infinitive’ as in:

We need the other casino to shut down for a while. What would be the difference?

They mean the same thing. The first one is just a short cut. It almost sounds like my local dialect.

See second bullet.

Ah, so ‘shut’ in this case is not an infinitive but the past participle and the sentence is not a subjunctive but rather a local dialect. Very interesting.

Just for the record, most of those other things listed as a Midwest dialect don’t apply to my local area. I’ve never even heard of a few of them.
