We have conducted a screening for potential new members

  1. We have conducted a screening for potential new member and we have screened down many to only two now. ( Can I say screen down?).

  2. We have conducted a screening for potential new members and we have screen out many of then until there are two left.

  3. We have conducted a screening out for potential candidates and concluded/decided that we will only accept two candidates. ( I say use concluded/decided?)

Can I construct the above sentences in such manner? Please advise.

You probably mean ‘narrowed down the number of candidates’?

If you only want to correct the grammar mistakes in this sentence it would read as follows: We have conducted a screening for potential new members and we have screened out many of them until there were only two left.

However, the entire sentence doesn’t sound natural at all.
