"we care about patients" or "we care for patients"

Hello,
please which one sentence is grammatically correct?
“we care about patients”
or
“we care for patients”

many thanks

Hi,

The point is that the two are different. ‘Care for’ is usually ‘to look after’ and ‘care about’ usually means ‘to be interested in’.

Alan

Hi Alan, thanks for clarification.
I’d like to use it in sentence like this: “We care for patients with our brand new service XYZ.” So maybe ‘care for’ is better in this case, isn’t? thanks again.
