What verb should be used to replace “watch” in “watch an embroidery picture” to make the sentence sound more artistic? Should it be “enjoy”, and is there any other verb?

She was admiring the embroidered picture.
She admired the embroidery work.
I think the term “embroidery picture” is awkward.
The verb watch is usually used in connection with action.
He watched the dog running.
I watch television.
