Upon writing a research paper, I encountered a problem as follows: I used “Vietnam automotive industry”, “Vietnam car industry/sector” and “Vietnam automobile industry/sector” in my writing to refer to “the automotive industry of Vietnam” as I did see many papers on this topic put it like that. However, an Australian girl told me that it should be “Vietnam’s automotive industry” and so on. I got confused about this expression. Please help me!!! I am supposed to submit the paper very soon !!! Thanks in advance.
Hi Guan,
“The Vietnamese automotive industry” sounds fine to me.[YSaerTTEW443543]

I also thought of this expression, however, it seems improper as the industry mentioned in my writing consists of both foreign-invested and local companies. If I put it as “Vietnamese”, foreign players would appear to be booted out of the playing field. Could you please suggest an appropriate expression?
Hi,
What about: The automotive industry in Vietnam ?
Alan
So “Vietnam automotive industry” is really unacceptable ?
Could you please come up with another suggestion? Because I am supposed to use this expression quite frequently in my writing, “the automotive industry in Vietnam” appears to be somewhat cumbersome…
