use of "make no scruple"

Hi,

Could you tell me if you find this use of “scruple” natural?

Thanks !

Hi Alex

Probably the most typical usage would include ‘scruples’ (plural), the verb ‘have’, and either the preposition ‘about’ or the phrase ‘when it comes/came to’. Thus:

  • He had no scruples about insulting his subordinates.

  • He had no scruples when it came to insulting his subordinates.
