Use of "gone"

  1. My phone has gone for repairs.
  2. I have given my phone for repair or repairs?
What would be the appropriate way to say this? I mean my phone is damaged so I have given it for repairs.

My phone is in for repair.
If taken by foot to someone: I’ve taken my phone to be repaired.
If sent to someone by mail: I’ve sent my phone to be repaired.

Beeesneees,
Could I say as below ?:

  1. I’ve given my phone to be repaired.
  2. I’ve given my phone to get repaired.
  3. I’ve given my phone for repair.
    Are these correct? Thanks.

‘Taken’, not ‘given’, unless you are adding a further person:
I’ve given my phone to my brother so that he can take it to get it repaired.

Beeesneees,
‘I’ve given my phone to the repairer to get it repaired.’
Is this sentence OK? Thanks.

It does not sound natural. You have not given it to him for him to keep forever. You have taken it to him to have it repaired.

Beeesneees,
Can I say as below:

  1. ‘I have taken my phone for repair.’
  2. ‘I have sent my phone for repair.’
    Thanks.

Yes, but they do not have the same meaning.

taken - you carried it somewhere.
sent - you had it delivered somewhere.
