  1. She yearned for a child and prayed.
  2. She wanted a child for her and prayed.
    Which of the above two is more opt and colloquial?
    Please highlight me.

“To want” is more colloquial than “to yearn.”
I do not understand what you mean by “opt.”

Did you mean "enlighten me"?
