Hi All,

The second quote is not well written.
Could you please let me know how it could be rewritten? The sentence should have reminded of, however
If you are going to specify that it must have ‘reminded of’ (without a noun/pronoun in between the two words) then that sentence cannot be rewritten appropriately. That is not how ‘reminded of’ is used.
reminded of = reminded about like this:
I am reminded of the time when I kept a tracker to remind me about the tasks for our wedding.
Are you reminded of the times we used to play together when you watch your children?
I have just been reminded of something important by Sweng.
BUT
Swwng has just reminded me of something important.
Sorry, Bev, feel confused by that ”I am reminded of the time when I kept a tracker to remind me about the tasks for our wedding” sentence. You’re reminded of the time… to[in order to] remind you about the tasks…? Keeping a tracker and preparing for a wedding sound a bit irrelevant to me…
Sorry again.
I dawned on me it was some fund/savings which were once being kept. Either way, keeping a fund aimed at reminding you to be ready to wed?.. ”I am reminded of the time when I kept a tracker to be ready for our wedding” then. (?)
No - it just means:
this (whatever is happening now) reminds me of the time when that (keeping a wedding tracker) happened.
