unexplained vs. unexplainable

Can you tell me the differnce between ‘‘unexplained’’ and ‘‘unexplainable’’.I happened on these two words in the dictionary so there is no exact context here.

Hi,

The difference really is between what hasn’t been done and what cannot be done. ‘Unexplained’ describes something that has so far not been explained and ‘unexplainable’ suggests that it is impossible to explain something.

I hope that ‘explains’ the difference.

Alan

Thank you for you quick reply

Hi Duc,

Please don’t “shout” (use capital letters only). Instead of UNEXPLAINED vs UNEXPLAINABLE your headline should read ‘unexplained vs unexplainable’.
