uncountable nouns

Another grammatical problem:Which noun is usually uncountable in each group:
-meal,dish,food, menu, dessert: …

  • motorway, traffic, traffic jam,lorry, rush hour …
    -cheque, coin,cash, salary, bonus: …

Food
Traffic
Cash

They are usually uncountable. Though you can say “foods” if you mean varieties of food, but most of the time you just say “food”.

“Foods” is quite common in American English.

But is ‘menu’ a countable noun?

“Menu” is countable.
