Hi. what does turn down the bed mean?is that the same as make the bed?
A bed has to be made before you can turn it down.
To ‘turn down the bed’ is to turn back the covers of a made bed so that you can get into it.
High class hotels offer a ‘maid turn-down service’ in the evenings… the maid does something like this with the blankets ready for the gues to get into bed:
