binge drinking - drinking alcohol to excess in relatively short periods of time. (e.g. Young people often go out binge drinking on the weekends.)
mind boggling - astonishing/difficult to comprehend (in this case, the numbers are so high that it is astonishing).
“can anybody help?” - note that ‘anybody’ is one word.
